THE ROMAN GENERAL'S GARDEN

A straight central pathway
Is an essential.

Broad enough for centurions
Marching two abreast.

Strongly tamped
And well metalled.

Land on the side must be kept clear
To prevent ambush.

Springs and boreholes
Will provide water.

Stocks of marching rations
Will be allocated

(here writing on the stone fragment ends)

reading this poem made me think of Acinipo ... I think we found what still remains of the straight central pathway!
